KTP Laser Eyewear
A KTP laser is a solid state laser that uses a potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) crystal as its laser medium and is energized through a beam generated by a neodymium:yttrium aluminium garnet (Nd: YAG) laser, producing a beam in the green visible spectrum at 532 nm. Applications include treatment of skin disorders such as cutaneous vascular lesions (port-wine stains, cherry angiomas, telangiectasia), pigmented and non-vascular skin lesions (epidermal melasma, freckles, lentigos), rosacea, and removing red-colored tattoo ink. KTP laser is also used for surgery of the nasal cavity, mouth, larynx and trachea, and the outer ear.
