Visible
Visible lasers refer to those emitting visible light, and also laser devices generating visible light via nonlinear frequency conversion. Visible lasers operate within the wavelength range of 400 to 700 nm and play an important role in a large range of applications. These span from everyday tools like barcode scanners and laser pointers to specialized equipment in medical treatments, research laboratories, and industrial processes. Among the lasers emitting visible light are solid state lasers (diodes, ruby), gas lasers (argon), and dye lasers (red, blue and green).
