Ti: Sapphire
Titanium-sapphire lasers (Ti:sapphire lasers) are tunable lasers which emit red and near-infrared light in the range from 650 to 1100 nm. Ti: sapphire lasers have many applications in various fields, from scientific research to industrial manufacturing. Ti: sapphire lasers enable the production of ultrashort laser pulses, critical for ultrafast spectroscopy applications. Laser machining applications in aerospace, automotive, and electronics manufacturing use TI:sapphire because of the high-energy laser pulses that are excellent for cutting, drilling, or etching material to produce high-precision components with minimal thermal damage to the material.
