UltraFast

Ultrafast lasers, also known as femtosecond lasers produce extremely short pulses of light. Because a femtosecond laser beam is very short, it produces less heat and is less damaging to surrounding tissue during surgical procedures for which it is often used. Ultrafast laser technology is also used for the production of minuscule items like stents and prosthetics, which require absolute precision and precise dimensions on a tiny scale. Other uses for ultrafast lasers include automotive industry applications and micromachining of brittle materials like glass.
